"Fantastic team in A&E"

About: King's Mill Hospital / Accident and emergency

Had to bring my 94 year old neighbour in today, 03/10/2018 at about 2pm for a suspected thrombosis in her leg. On arrival, the team on the next were so reassuring, despite computer issues they were experiencing. Within 30 mins or so we were seen by a wonderful nurse, who was exceedingly kind and patient with my neighbour. We were taken through for blood tests and told straight away this would take about 90 mins to get the results, which it did. But how nice to have expectations managed so well. Again lovely card and attention, all done with a smile and a lovely sense of friendly fun, completely what was needed. We then saw a lovely Doctor, who was so get kind and caring, explaining things slowly and listening to my neighbour's concerns. On top of all this, hot drinks and sandwiches were offered too. We have to go back tomorrow for a scan, and I think we are both quite looking forward to our visit. What a wonderful team you are.

My only suggestion would be to make the 20 minute drop off bay ticket instruction clearer. It said you had to get a ticket, but the pay meter had a blank screen and no price listed. Pressed all the buttons, squinted at the screen, checked other vehicles that hadn't got tickets in the window, so took a risk and left the car while taking my neighbour in and joining the short queue. If it is free, why are there coin slots on the machine and how do you get a ticket out please?!

This didn't detract from the fabulous service received though ☺☺☺
