"ICD Implantation"

Was admitted to Ward 37 for investigation after collapsing after a fast pulse rate. I had a lot of tests done several of which had a delay due to the facilities being under great demand and being needing for emergency use along with normal planned procedures. The staff were very friendly throughout my stay and even managed to cope with my period of unreasonable behaviour after being told of a delay.

The ward was very clean and the room was of a good size, the shower and toilet facilities shared with three other patients was very good with an exhalant shower area. Food was also very good and served by friendly staff who always refereed to you by your first name which gave a warm feeling at times of stress. Special mention must be made of the soup each day it was excellent and enjoyed by everyone I spoke to.

I would like to express my thanks to the doctor his bedside manner and attitude to talk to you in a straight and franc manor was exemplary I am sure he will achieve high regard in his profession. My thanks also go to consultant who did my implant his reputation within the CCU is already high and well deserved, thank you.

All in all a positive experience with only delays caused by shortage of equipment. Maybe its time for a second MRI unit.
