"ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT Doctors, nurses, and all..."

About: Queen's Hospital / Accident & emergency

I was taken to the Queen’s a few days ago as an emergency and had to stay two days. The standard of care I received was absolutely first class. All the doctors, consultants, and nurses were so kind, courteous, supportive and professional in every possible way. From the jolly porter who pushed me around in a chair and the lovely ladies who served us tea and coffee to the consultant that reviewed me. The nursing staff are particularly amazing- I’m sure they are angels in disguise. It's quite humbling to see so many caring and devoted people at work-sometimes, in very difficult circumstances. Not all patients are able to understand that Doctors are there to help- and some patients are simply ungrateful or rude. But we should ALL be extremely grateful that these professionals (some quite young) choose to follow this career and to spend it at the NHS. No matter what the Government is or says it’s doing, it’s blindingly obvious that it isn't enough. The hospitals are understaffed. In this day and age, this is an outrage. Funds for the Health Service should be a priority- almost over anything else and it should be there for everyone at all times.

Perhaps we have too many pen-pushers/Perhaps the funds are not being used correctly/perhaps they simply need more money. Whatever the reasons that beleague our Heath Service, we should all give it our utmost support and when-ever we can, fight for what the staff ask for. We don't know how fortunate we are until we need them.

Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your experience, I am so pleased to hear that the care you received was supportive and professional in every way. I will ensure your kind words are passed onto the team so they know what a fantatsic job they are all doing. Once again, thank you for passing on your feedback.

Kind Regards
