"Poor service and rude staff"

About: Southport & Formby District General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I went today after being referred by my physiotherapist for suspected cauda equina syndrome. The triage nurse I saw refused to look at me when speaking despite me asking them to look at me (I struggle to hear when you are facing away). After triage I was waiting for about three hours before being seen by an assistant physician (I had met them before on my last trip here). Whilst they are very nice, they aren’t very good and I find they base their evaluation on any previous times they have seen you.

It took another two hours for them to find a consultant and without even speaking to me or properly finding out about my symptoms etc. They dismissed me home. Just like last time. Every time I have been to this hospital I have been greeted by the same rude triage nurse, and been dismissed home with no care OR investigations including the time I was brought in via ambulance.

There is a clear lack of communication and standard of care.
