"Out Standing Consultant and Excellent Team"

I have a great pleasure in writing review on the services that I received in this hospital as an NHS patient for decompression of spinal stenosis.

I am 75 years of age with complicated medical history;

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus on Insulin pump therapy, peripheral neuropathy, chronic pancreatitis, Congestive Heart failure due to Coronary Heart disease having had surgery 11 years ago, posing a great surgical risk.

The consultant was first class in every way; his politeness and manners were exemplary. The consultation was concise and the treatment explained.

I was very impressed with his clarity and calmness in discussing issues and able to give me justifiable optimism for the procedure. He made me fully understood what treatment was required. An appointment was made there and then for my operation.

From initial consultation right through to the surgical procedure I was treated with courtesy and every question was answered thoroughly and in great detail to me as well as to my family. It was a teamwork that I have full of admiration for upholding a patient-centered-care principle that a lot of other hospitals are talking about but unable to achieve.

My operation was very successful and aftercare and follow up procedures has been excellent.

I live in London and I am very grateful to my London GP for referring to this hospital at my request through “choose and book electronic system “and to the consultant for accepting me.

I have shortlisted a few nearby hospitals but finally chosen this one about 170 miles away and I must say it lives up to its reputation and I am very happy with the decision.
