About: NHS Grampian / Aberdeen Health and Care Village

(as a service user),

Dispute this being a very intimate, personal and somewhat embarrassing procedure and a major concern for the patient it is obviously considered a minor procedure by the staff.

I was made to feel most comfortable and relaxed from the initial pre-op telephone screening some time before, right through to the appointment, pre-med. questions, the procedure itself and the post-op recovery.

All members of staff were very pleasant, courteous and willing to share a laugh and joke, where appropriate, on the subject matter!

This helps alleviate patient nervousness and although the department appears casual it is obviously manned by very professional but caring staff.

Congratulations to Mr K consultant for running a tight ship and having a great team. I actually enjoyed my morning with them (to a point!)

A mention also to the unseen staff, I felt the surroundings, waiting rooms etc were fresh and clean adding to the overall positive experience.
