My husband was in severe discomfort last Sunday evening.
At nearly midnight my friend and I drove him straight to A&E, as we only live 10 minutes away, and it was quicker than waiting for an ambulance.
As soon as we arrived he was taken through and assessed.
He had suffered a heart attack.
All the staff could not have been more wonderful.
I cannot remember the doctor's names unfortunately, as I was so stressed, but I do remember the nurses who were extremely supportive, caring, and considerate.
They made sure my friend and I had regular cups of tea, and the opportunity to talk to them, right up to the time we left at 3am.
When I rang early in the morning, one of the nurses took the call, and was again very kind and explained to me what was happening.
These staff are a credit to the NHS.
"Excellent!"
