What I liked

I have nothing left to like about this department, Since returning to the area in 2006.

What could be improved

The way the consultants spoke to me. They seemed to have no respect or concern for my feelings, and well being. It's as if they are just trying to meet up to expectations of statistics and targets, and see it acceptable to not give proper information or explanations. The communication between gp.departments also seems to be lacking and inconsiderate.

Anything else?

I am totally disgusted with my treatment by a supposed lead consultant, and after several years of being messed around I am going to make a formal complaint. My advice would be to go private or use a different hospital.

However, I have found the nursing staff to be excellent, treated me with dignity, respect and compassion.
