I had a hysterectomy on the 19th July and had excellent treatment the consultant kept me fully informed throughout and was very caring. The anaesthetics was very reassuring and was very caring and followed my care throughout as I had a few problems post op. All the staff on the Gynae ward were very friendly and caring especially the night staff who looked after me as I was quite often sick in the night. All the staff were always very busy but nothing was to much trouble. I had my final check up with the consultant yesterday and again was very happy with the way I was treated in the clinic.
The only down side was being told my tablets were ready and they needed the bed so I was ready for discharge but
I was still sat in the chair with my family member who rushed to collect me 5 hours later without any information about progress and no one had been allocated my bed. I appreciate they are controlled by the pharmacy which is very busy but there must be a way to improve communications between the departments and keeping the patients informed.
STILL RATE MY TIME WITH QA 5 STAR
