"My Birth"

About: Warrington Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I had my first baby , a boy, in September and i had disjointed antenatal care, never seeing my named midwife, but i felt well informed by those i did see. i felt well supported, safe and cared for during my labour when the majority of my care was by a student midwife called Tracy who was nearing the end of her training, supported by a qualified midwife.

I couldn't fault the care i received from the student, she discussed ways for me to cope during my labour. She calmed me and listened to me and i had a gorgeous birth experience even though it ended in a forceps delivery, the student made the experience so much better, calming me and telling me and my partner what was happening and holding my hand when i needed her. i hope she is there when i have my next baby. Thank you
