I would like to pay my humble tribute to the nephrology unit at the LGH. I was diagnosed with renal failure since the end of the 1990s at the hospital and as my kidneys deteriorated in function, was put onto peritoneal dialysis under an excellent senior care nurse attached to the Loughborough Renal Unit for 4 years while being registered onto the National Transplant Register waiting list for the possible offer of a donor kidney. From hospital admission to discharge, my care has been superb and has definitely acted as a catylist to my recovery. The delicate balance of my medication (and everyone is different) I found precise and nothing signed off until the balance was perfect. I thank you again the wonderful staff - whether professional, technical, ancillary and support for helping me with my recovery in the comparatively new field of medicine.
"Efficiency and Caring second to none."
