"Excellent care, attention and support"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Care of the Elderly (Wards 14,20,22)

(as a relative),

I want to share praise for Ward 22 HCP Team. My dad has been in this ward since late August  with no discharge in sight due to continued multifactorial health complications.

I want to commend the excellent care, attention and support both my dad and our very large family have received from the nurses, the clinical support team, the SpR to his Consultant.  Particularly, nurses Lee-Anne, Nadia and Anne, clinical supports Ashleigh, Michael and Janet, SpR Dr. Bingham and his consultant Dr Steele.  Dr Steele has the unenviable task of dealing with a large family of 5 women who are at times demanding; need for information, candor and honesty.

A special note must go to Dr Bingham, she joined the team only a couple of weeks ago and to say she has been a breath of fresh air is an understatement. She has brought his care to another level - personal.  It's rare you experience first had a person's vocation in action, Dr Bingham is the personification of a doctor.

Dr Barber, you should be immensely proud of your team.  The pressures they work under, beyond the NHS's constraints, is immeasurable and completely taken for granted.  You have mine and my sisters' respect and heartfelt thanks.

Dear Tony's Daughter,

Thank you for taking the time to feed back your dad's and families experience of ward 22. The team will be heartened to hear this feedback. We will ensure all the staff involved in your Dads care hear about the care they have delivered, described in such a beautiful way in your post.

I hope that your Dad is doing well,

Take Care

Karen
