"My daughter's stay on ward 12"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary / General surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was transferred to ward 12 Manchester royal, for an operation  whilst there she has been out of bed once! Whilst her bed was being made, the chair at her bedside is too low down for her plus, she has no Zimmer that is high enough and no wheelchair on the ward for her to use, she can't get the the toilet

Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to learn that yours and your daughter's experience on Ward 12 was not as positive as we would hope during your daughter's inpatient stay.

It is important to us that comments are heard and seen as an opportunity provided to the service to make changes and improvements wherever possible. Your concerns have been raised directly with the staff on Ward 12 so that they can look into them.

It is difficult to respond to all posts in a full way often because of a lack of detailed information, therefore if you would like to discuss your experience with us in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@mft.nhs.uk quoting reference number PO18/0173.
