"Poor service at our medical centre"

About: General Practices in Grampian

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had an appointment with the surgery, we arrived 15 minutes earlier, the dr had been called to an emergency as of which I understand, but sat there for over an hour why was the patients not notified of the doctor's absence. Two other incidents took place also in regards to two booked telephone consultations of which were not replied to and a receptionists attitude I found disgraceful, sarcastic and rude when approached after asking if I was due to be soon afterwards (this was 20 minutes after my appointment time) Ive never had issues till of this year I’m enraged of the treatment the named surgery has worked.

Dear Opinionabdn89,

Thank you for getting in touch. I’m really sorry to hear about you and your sons poor experience at the surgery. An hour is a long time to be kept waiting without any communication and I can understand why you feel angry. I’m not sure what the receptionist had had to deal with that day, but it’s never an excuse to be rude or sarcastic to a patient.

I have already once before approached the branch manager and never again not only was she bias she was also uninterested.
