So it has been a bit of a whirlwind to be honest. Referred by GP after a visit, one week later was seen at the Women's Centre. Treated with total respect by the caring staff. The following week had to go back for more investigations. Went back ten days later, results were not good, i was diagnosed with Cancer. Operation on the 5th September, could not fault the care that I received. One night stay on Wynard ward where I was again looked after so well, fabulous staff who all knew what their roles were. Friendly but very professional and caring. So I had my results yesterday and all is good. I can't believe that the NHS can do this! In the matter of 10 weeks ( 3 of those post op) so in 7 weeks i was referred, diagnosed and treated. Amazing. I do have to go on and have some further treatment, but I'm not worried as the care given by this fabulous team has so far been excellent.
My surgeon was the kindest most caring man, and I felt in very safe hands. My nurse has been there all the way, the Anaesthetist was understanding of my needs (other problems etc) and my oncology Doctor explained everything so well to me and my husband. I cant thank you all so much. You ARE the NHS
Simply Brilliant. Thank you all.
