I was induced due to rfm (reduced fetal movement). Advised no consent to foreceps. Induction underway, baby got stuck and head swollen up. Still high. Registrar whom I first spoke to told me they want to trial of forceps, I refused and requested csection. Another doctor came in. Advised they will try ventouse then foreceps then csection. I refused, referred them to my own research on high forceps outcomes and explained im not happy to take the risk. 2 staff here (maybe midwives maybe doctors) had already told me ventouse was not possible due to swelling.
Another doctor (this one performed csection) then told me to do forceps, examined me many times kept trying to convince me to do forceps. then after many refusals they said to do ventouse, I told this doctor that id already been advised this would not be possible. They examined me again got another doctor to also examine me. Got annoyed that I was adamant not to consent to high forceps birth. Eventually after many examinations and arguing whilst having intense contractions on syntocin, csection was ahead. After baby was delivered the doctor then came in congratulated me, then pretty much told me off for having a csection. I was throwing up from the pain drugs at this point.
