"Menopause Clinic"

About: Mile End Hospital

(as the patient),

I had to wait 6 months for an appointment when I did eventually got an appointment I had received it via a text with little notice i.e. 2 days to attend.

Went to the appointment saw the doctor then it took another 12 weeks plus before a letter/prescription was sent to my doctor in order for me to collect the prescriptions to help with my symptoms.

I was calling the centre,  no one seemed to answer the phone and when I finally got through I speak to a lovely person who has been helping me to find out what hold up was. I had even got my GPs receptionist to call on my behalf I went on a holiday for 3 weeks where I received a text to say I need to call as my appointment needs to be reschedule (I still had not received my prescription). It is very annoying as you can't speak to anyone to get another appointment.

When I did return to the UK I called my GP I found out the they had received the letter/prescription in late August.

Someone from the centre who left me message telling me about the my appointment which I missed I had previously told them, I would not be attending  as I had only been using the medication for one week so there was nothing to report.

My only worry now is that when my 3 months prescription runs out how long it will take for some to contact me regarding another appointment. Suffering menopause are so not funny so why is it acceptable to be waiting for so long for prescription

Update:

Since originally writing this post, I finally got hold of one of the admin staff who has been really helpful in trying to sort out my next appointment, I am more worry about my prescription which I have waited so long for running out before the Doctor next sees me.
