"Ankle Surgery"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I had to have surgery on my ankle and felt the whole procedure was performed with my needs being considered as well as the needs for other people also needing treatment.

My surgeon explained everything he needed to do and spent time with my husband and myself beforehand to go through the whole process including the amount of time recovery would take as this would have an impact on our daily lives for at least 3 months after the procedure.

I was treated in the Day Surgery unit where the staff were so friendly and considerate at what can be a worrying time for any patient.

Thank you to all the staff who were involved with my care before, during and after my surgery.
