About: Collingwood Family Practice

If I could I wouldn’t even rate it one star. Made a huge mistake changing to this doctors two years ago. I haven’t suffered with my skin my whole life, and have always been treated with the right creams and steroids. However, 2 years ago my skin turned worse and kept flaring up all over my body, I visited cfp explaining my situation. The doctors skimmed my bank and stomach and sat down and stated I had scabies. I was mortified. I was told I had to wash every single piece of clothing in the house, vaccum the sofas and the beds, to ensure it was got rid of. I was also given a cream which she told me would get rid of the scabies. Even though I had open cuts from scratching, I put the cream on my skin and I felt like I rubbed acid on it. 2 weeks later nothing changed. My mom wasn’t happy, she rushed me round the doctors and told the doctor it wasn’t scabies. The doctor apologised, as if it was minor, and said she would give me cream for my eczema. Because of my skin, I have to go the doctors frequently. Every time I visit it, it’s because I need to get the steroid as moisturiser simply doesn’t reduce the soreness. I was made to feel stupid every time I have been there. I get told that the “body should be given what it wants not want you want” such as drinking water etc. I stated that drinking water does not reduce my eczema; as I am allergic to things such as grass wheat etc. He had then gave me a tiny tube of hydrocortisone which in fact doesn’t even last as a half a tube would probably cover my body. He stated that the tube of emuvate should last me a whole year, which I find difficult to understand how he decides it’s one year, and some people have it less than others (e.g. I have it everywhere) been made to feel like an idiot, the doctor turned around and said “ well I have eczema there’s nothing you can do, you need to just cream” nothing but rude, aswell as the receptionist and you don’t get seen untill around 40 minutes later. I will say the nurses are lovely, and that’s the only positive I can say. But I really would suggests going anywhere but here; i pay for my prescriptions yet I don’t get given what I need. I’m greatful for the nhs, but this place is a joke!!!
