"An out of hours house call"

About: South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a relative),

The doctor who came to my husband last week was Dr Andriescu. She was very efficient courteous and very accurate with her diagnosis of sepsis. We are both very grateful for the way she dealt with everything and including that she made sure Worthing A&E were ready for him on his arrival. Our grateful thanks go to her.

Unfortunately the 999 operator obviously did not comprehend the seriousness of my call and the out of hours team were also given the wrong house number which delayed things.

Through Dr Andriescu my husband has made a good recovery.

I was very sorry to read of your poor experience with the 999 operator and would be happy to have this investigated for you. Would you be able to email pet@secamb.nhs.uk with the full details including the date and time of the call made and the address to which the ambulance attended.

Once I have this information I would be happy to have this investigated and response sent out to you. In the meantime, I do hope that your husband has made a good recovery from his ordeal.
