"Useless!!!!!"

About: Phoenix Surgery

On requesting a home visit my daughter had to go through Morton Medical Centre which took about half an hour of constantly phoning first thing in the morning, the doctor finally rang her and asked if she could get to the surgery after midday and the answer was no as she wouldn’t have requesting a home visit if this had been possible, reluctantly the doctor agreed to call,I arrived at my daughters house shortly after the doctor and was appalled by her reluctance to do anything, she did eventually agree to give antibiotics and something to help her get some sleep as she hadn’t had a nights rest for over 2 weeks,my husband went to the pharmacy only to find one item had been prescribed,my daughter then rang a total of 59 times with the engaged tone every time so gave up and contacted the pharmacy who couldn’t have been more helpful, the young lady she spoke to said she would have a word with the doctor and to ring back which she did,the doctor had forgotten to prescribe the second item but did so when reminded,I went to pick this up personally and had I realised what she had prescribed I wouldn’t have bothered paying for it as it was an extremely low dose of a tranquilliser which I take myself and was absolutely no use whatsoever I am totally disgusted with the treatment of a young woman recently diagnosed with inoperable cancer who was in such discomfort that she was unable to eat or even sit up,thank goodness for the hospital and her recent treatment from the McMillan nurses who got her everything she needed and has even got her appointment with the oncologist brought forward but as for the treatment by the doctor I wouldn’t ever want her to visit again as she was about as much use as a chocolate teapot, the locum we saw at the surgery 10 days earlier we couldn’t fault as he arranged for her to go to the hospital and get seen urgently so we have a lot to thank him for.we aren’t a family who normally complain and never request home visits but given the circumstances I feel we have every right to feel that the treatment received was totally inappropriate.
