"So pleased I joined this practice"

My wife and I joined The Steven Shackman Practice soon after it opened its new facility in the grounds of Mount Vernon Hospital - Mountwood Surgery. Every time we have had a need to consult a doctor we have been allocated one - even at short notice and on a couple of occasions have had to await a call from the Head Nurse for a triage telephone discussion. On one occasion a junior doctor called one of the partners to see a blemish on my wife's skin as he is the dermatological expert and this enhanced the value of the practice to me as it was skin cancer. I am much more likely to have the need to see one of the nurses and I have found their service outstanding patching me up on a few occasions. The administrative side has improved greatly and is now not only very efficient but very pleasant to deal with. Without fear or favour this is the best run surgery that I have ever attended.

The only downside I have encountered is that my wife will not move outside of their catchment area when we downsize our property. The day before yesterday she placed a prescription request via their version of Emis and yesterday she was notified that it was ready for collection - great service.
