"arranging an appointment"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) (London)

I received a letter giving me a 10.15am Hepatology appointment on 4 October. I telephoned to explain I had Bowel Cancer and because of this could not make morning appointments. The latest they eventually arranged was 12.15 which still could be difficult.. The letter I received confirming 12.15 stated that as I had already changed the appointment once they would refer me back to my GP if I could no longer attend. Bowel Cancer is obviously a major health problem and I find this attitude very upsetting and unhelpful.

Thank you for your feedback, and I am sorry to hear of your poor experience. I have passed your message onto the service manager for Hepatology to hopefully make adjustments to the service.

I wish you well in your treatment.

Kind Regards
