"Amazing ENT Department"

I've been under my Consultant since I was a child for ongoing issues with my ears. Earlier in the year, the decision was made to have my T-tubes removed. I opted for local anesthetic rather than general. I get very anxious over any kind of medical procedure, and in my appointment I became very emotional due to the anxiety I was experiencing. The team were excellent; they reminded me to keep calm and explained every detail to me so I was fully aware of what was happening at all times. The doctor made me comfortable, explaining that if I wanted to stop at any time, I just had to say so. The procedure was completed quickly, and I spent less than an hour at the hospital in total (this includes time taken to do an audiogram). I cannot praise all staff at the hospital enough for their continued support, even to nightmare patients like me! I always know I will receive excellent treatment whenever being dealt with by Sunderland's ENT Department. Thank you so much.
