I came to this hospital from Leeds yesterday for mastoidectomy surgery and I am so glad I did, I received outstanding care from the minute I walked in to when I left my dr who performed my surgery was extremely professional and experienced he explained everything in easy to understand detail what he was going to do he is also the only dr out of the many I have seen at other hospitals to be straight with me and tell me that my hearing was never going to be improved without hearing aid which was a big relief to just no instead of always worrying he then came after I had some rest and sleep to explain everything he had done again in easy to understand detail. We then come to the nurses that cared for me on ward 1 all I can say is iv never received the level of care as I did today there was my main nurse who was just such a lovely caring and kind lady so understanding of my worries and made me feel at ease and calm then the student nurse who walked me to theatre and then coming to do my observations she was also so caring and kind nothing was too much trouble for either of them always coming and checking I was ok or if there was anything I needed there was another nurse who came to remove my cannula and she too was gentle and a lovely lady I really can’t praise the nurses who was involved in my care enough. I would highly recommend this hospital to anybody, I no I will definitely be asking if I can come here for any further procedures in the future everybody involved in my care are an absolute credit to our nhs thank you all so so much I will be forever grateful for everything.
