"WEIGHT GAIN"

About: Strawberry Hill Medical Centre

I received the following advice when I confronted the doctor about my weight gain:

"Don't bother with exercise unless you are training for an Iron Man or something as it won't help you lose weight".

"I have a diet for you, it won't make you healthy but you will lose weight if you eat a Mars Bar for breakfast, lunch and dinner".

Doctors in this practice feel that they are superior to their patients.

They don't try to understand I don't want to develop their knowledge when faced with tricky conditions.

I dread seeing the doctor and I have tried to change practice but I am not in the right catchment.

Also, the receptionists at this practice are rude and obstructive and they could well do with some training on how to deal with people who are stressed, upset and often ill!!!

Overall this is a horrible surgery the doctors and staff are only interested in what works for themselves and they have no interest in delivering a minimum standard patient experience.
