I unfortunately have a quite rare autoimmune condition, I was seen by one particular proffesor at the glenfield, sadly due to Long term sickness is no longer able to see me. And have not been seen for a long while and have had to cope with varying unpleasant symptoms, my daughter suggested another hospital my be able to help, as on the odd occasion I have visited the surgery I have seen different drs who seen to be unable to help in times of illness, due to a rise in my eosinophils partly my fault as I tried to reduce my steroids, as I have no one to advise me, I had to see the doctor well I left feeling like a real nuisance she told me to look up my symptoms on the Internet and to sort out consultants at addenbrooks I had such a job and did not know where to start, l also had to ask for a blood test to see if my levels had reduced, on the whole I felt extremely down and at a loss as to what I should be doing to help myself and to be faced with a doctor who really could not give a dam I feel is not very acceptable. My I just add if the doctors could take a leaf out of the nurses book things maybe a whole lot better however busy they are they are kind, understanding and really try to help.
