"I felt that I received good treatment and was well..."

About: Basildon University Hospital

What I liked

I would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and catering/ancillary staff who looked after me with patience and friendly kindness during my two stays in Basildon during December. This applies to A&E, the assessment ward and James Mackenzie where I spent the bulk of my time.

The new food preparation system seems to work well and I was happy with the quality and quantity on offer.

What could be improved

Possibly some decaf tea/coffee options would be a good idea for cardiac patients who are advised to avoid stimulants.

We would like to assure you that at the time your comments were posted they were shared with the relevant departments.

Feedback from patients and/or their relatives/carers is always welcomed (negative or positive) whether it is showing appreciation for the care and treatment received or expressing concerns or offering suggestions to improve practices at the hospital.
