"Poor service yet again"

Yet again poor service.

Turned up 5 minutes before opening time for the blood test clinic as I've previously had bad experience with unnecessarily long wait times here.

I was the 5th patient in the building at 8am so expected to be seen swiftly.

Took my ticket and sat down expecting the first patients to be called through immediately (because why wouldn't they be!).

The first patient was called through at 8.15.

If a service claims to open and start at 8am, it needs to start at 8am.

You wouldn't close 15 minutes early, so why is it acceptable to start 15 mins late?

It then took a further 15 minutes for me to be seen.

So it took 30 minutes to take blood from 5 patients.

Admittedly only two nurses were on duty, but that still means that a total of 1 man-hour was taken to see 5 patients.

12 mins per patient is poor.

I am perfectly happy and understanding to wait for a service when the current demand for that service is outweighing capacity, but not when it is due to simple and easily fixable inefficiencies.

Plenty of other comments on here have moaned about the batch-processing system, so I won't go into that here.

To top it off the nurse didn't even bother to say hello and then simply grunted when I asked a question.
