My wife attended the fracture clinic yesterday and received absolutely wonderful care for her fractured humerus.
Today I need to talk to somebody in the department about the plaster cast, drugs etc. I cannot find the departmental phone number on the website and the hospital main phone number just rings for minutes at a time with nobody answering it.
This is an outrage; there will be people with even more urgent needs to contact the hospital than I.
Why are there not more lines or operators.
While I have been typing this the phone has been ringing for nearly FIVE MINUTES.
And why aren't the departmental phone numbers given clearly on the website?
That would save a lot of calls being funnelled through the main switch.
This doesn't cost money, it's just common sense.
"Can't contact the hospital!!"
