About: West Cumberland Hospital / Accident and emergency

We attended the new A&E department at WCH after my daughter went over on her foot, was in pain and not able to put weight on her foot. The service we received from the receptionist, nurse's, Doctor and x-ray department was fantastic. Everyone was extremely friendly and made my daughter feel at ease. She was very quickly diagnosed with a broken bone in her left foot and supplied with a 'moon boot' and crutches. Thank You!

Thank you for getting in touch with us with such a positive review of your daughters recent attendance at A&E. I am very sorry that ‘going over on her foot’ resulted in a broken bone; I can only imagine how much pain she was in before receiving treatment. I do hope she is managing her crutches well.

All of the staff, including those behind the scenes, work really hard to provide a continuity of care and they will be delighted with your comments.
