"Nasty receptionist"

About: Blackwater Medical Centre

I visited with my son who is struggling with anxiety and panic attacks. The doctor himself was fantastic. But afterwards when trying to book ECG and follow up appointment as requested the receptionist was hateful. My son was struggling as it was so to have this woman looking miserable and talking to us as if we were idiots was horrible for him. There are plenty of signs requesting people be polite to staff. The same respect should apply to patients. He was talking quietly as he was fending off a panic attack and she kept pretending she couldnt hear him. Very upsetting.

I am sorry that you were unhappy with the service you received from the receptionist. She would have been totally unaware of his problems and I am sure she did not mean to appear "hateful" or was pretending not to be able to hear him.

Sometimes it is noisy and difficult to hear behind the glass.

Perhaps she was having difficulty in addressing all his appointment needs.

I sorry your son was upset.
