What I liked

I visited ward 3 and ward 7 after 2 admissions in Dec 2011 with renal stones requiring surgery.

The Drs were okay but I speak spanish and found it difficult to understand what they were saying. (someone else is writing this on my behalf as I do not write english). I now found out I could have translation service but this was not offered.

The wards were dirty and the food was appalling in choice, quality and presentation.

The nurses showed no compassion and while I appreciate they are all overworked, their communication skills leave a lot to be desired.

I hope that the new chief exec makes improvements in this hospital.

I shall be writing to them and hope I do not get some basic reply saying sorry and that the wards involved are made aware of the complaint and lessons learned.

I now worry about going back to this hospital.
