"Wrong medication prescribed and rude staff!!"

About: Park Lane Practice

I wouldn’t even give this surgery one star! I am new to the area and registered to Park Lane surgery in June time frame. I attended my first appointment at this surgery for an asthma review and overall check up (so I can add all my repeat prescriptions to my medical file to ensure I can request these when needed). The nurse for my asthma review was lovely. However, the doctor/nurse for my check up was rude and impatient. When she asked me why I had booked the appointment I had advised it was for a check up so I can ensure my repeat prescriptions were transferred to my new surgery. She seemed bothered by this answer. I had brought all the medication I have on repeat with me, as advised on the registration letter, this would ensure everything was correctly inputted. However, when I asked her if she wanted to see the medication that needed putting on repeat she dismissed this and just asked me to tell her what was needed, in which I did. By the time I asked for the last item to be put on repeat she seemed irritated. When she searched for it the medication came up with a variety of results, she didn’t look that bothered what selection she choose so I queried this and she advised me it was fine. However, when I went to pick up my repeat prescription for the first time from the pharmacy that item was indeed wrong. I advised the pharmacy of this and they told me the doctors had ordered the wrong item for me. I then went into the doctors and asked the receptionist to please rectify the issue with the doctor. Her response was that she would send a prescription to the pharmacy and it would be available to order in 4 days, but it would not be on repeat. I questioned this as this is an item I’ve had on repeat for years, off the back of treatment with the hospital. She advised there was nothing she could do. I was obviously visibly upset by this and asked if someone could ring me to sort this and ensure it was correct and on repeat for the future. She advised she could but it would not be urgent. The attitude was awful! And considering the whole inconvenience caused to myself was no fault of my own her unwillingness to help was terrible ! I am now without my medication, still awaiting a phone call from Thursday and I’m yet to receive any form of apology? Please do not register here if you’re looking for good service or even the correct medication...
