"Mixed, but I could not recommend it to my sister"

What I liked
The midwife who finally delivered our baby was wonderful, calm and competent. She listened to what was happening to me and to the baby and her judgement was sound. I would recommend her to anyone.
Once our baby was born, the paediatric team were great, on the scene immediately and responded rapidly.
What could be improved
The maternity/delivery wards were overcrowded and they were in a rush to push people through.
The doctor (registrar) did not properly consult me about either the decision to induce labour or the method.
The minimal information I was given about the drug used (misoprostol) turned out to be incorrect.
I was given an unmeasured dose in the form of a broken tablet.
I had 4 changes of midwife in what was only a 3 hour labour (despite the baby showing signs of distress due to the speed of contractions induced)
One of the midwives advised me to pray.
The hospital lost my blood / test results twice during my antenatal 'care'
The staff are mixed in terms of their people skills - some of them are casually rude to everyone
I have never heard anyone apologise, acknowledge that something wasn’t perfect, or take personal responsibility for any aspect of patient care.
