"Cannot Get An Appointment"

I'm writing this on behalf of my husband, even though we are both registered. He has mental health problems and has been feeling particularly depressed this week. I'm seriously worried about him and whether he will harm himself. He phoned yesterday and today but has failed to get an appointment. He was told the first appointment would be 1 October with the mental health nurse, nearly a month away, that could be too late! Being suicidal is not deemed serious enough in their triage! Disgusting! I've now got to watch him all weekend to make sure he doesn't harm himself and hope he gets an appointment Monday, which I doubt he will. It's incredibly sad that mental health problems are not taken seriously by this practice.
