What I liked

I had a water birth in the pool at the ISIS centre. I cannot fault the two midwives who guided me through the birth with professionalism, positivity and attentiveness. They respected my birth plan and a couple of odd requests. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to give birth within the small intimate centre.

What could be improved

After the birth I had some stitches. The nurse/mid wife seemed unsure of the centre's safety procedures. To make me feel more at ease/confident, I would make sure the safety guidelines were either well known before a patient is present, or clarified out of sight of the patient.
