About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Late last year I had a lengthy stay on ward e15 after being transferred from my local hospital in Boston, suffering with severe acute pancreatitis.

When I was actually a patient I was very poorly and probably quite difficult, and had plenty to say about the care I received, mainly the attitude of a couple of the nurses.

but now, reflecting back, I am extremely grateful to all of the staff involved in my care whilst on this ward, I had a long journey to recovery but wouldn't have made it without the staff on this ward!

I often think about some of the lovely people I met during my time there.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch and share your reflections about your care with us. We are so pleased to hear you are now doing well at home after your illness. I’ve shared your kind words with the staff on our ward, and note your comments about the attitude of a few colleagues. I will make sure your feedback is used as a general reminder to staff on the ward as part of our ongoing training and learning.

Take care

Eleanor Mandac, Ward Manager, E15
