"Children's ward"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

After my 8 year old son broke his wrist we were taken to Carlisle hospital for surgery.

All the staff on children's ward were amazing they made him so comfortable and managed to put a little smile back on his face.

Nothing was a problem to them they all went above and beyond to deliver outstanding care to both myself and my son.

Cannot rate this ward and staff highly enough.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write to us with a positive review of our Children’s ward here at the Cumberland Infirmary.

I am so sorry that your son broke his wrist and needed to have surgery, it must have been a very distressing time for him.

The staff work tremendously hard to ensure patients receive a good service when they come to hospital and I am pleased that his experience was a positive one that resulted in a little smile!

Your comments demonstrate this is a whole team approach to care as everyone has a part to play in the patient experience.
