"A&E and Clinical Decision Unit"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital / Accident and emergency

I recently spent nearly 12 hours in A&E then the Clinical Decision Unit with my 91 year old mother, who had had a bad fall in the care home where she lives.

We were both treated so well, and I would particularly like to thank the staff in the A&E department and the lady who was in charge of the CDU that day for their care and consideration.

Nothing was too much trouble and mum was kept warm and comfortable all day.

I visited the shop in the main hospital a couple of times and managed to get lost trying to get back to the A&E dept and every member of staff I encountered took the time to tell me the correct way to go.

They were all so helpful and polite.

Being treated so well and with such care and understanding made a difficult day so much easier to deal with.
