"Care given to my dad in his last days"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18) University Hospital Wishaw / Respiratory Medicine (Ward 7)

(as a relative),

My dad was admitted to Ward 17 with advanced gastric cancer. The staff could not have been more helpful and respectful. We are so grateful to every one of them for the care they gave him in his final days. Each and every one is a credit to their profession. Thank you from all the whole family.

Dear Grateful family 999,

Many thanks for posting your lovely comments about ward 17. Firstly I would like to pass on my condolences on the loss of your father.

The staff in ward 17 strive to provide safe person centred care to both patients and their families and I am delighted to hear that they were able to make your fathers final days as comfortable as possible. I will share your kind words with the staff as they will be so pleased to know that they made a difference at a very difficult time.

Best Wishes

Maureen
