"A&E and CCU Department"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary / Accident and emergency

My husband was sent to A&E after a visit to the out of hours doctor on a Sunday morning. What can I say - the treatment he received was outstanding from the reception to resuscitation to being admitted to the coronary care unit.

He was in for a few days after having a stent inserted into an artery. The ward was spotless, relaxed and friendly. Staff very professional and caring and nothing too much for them.

After experiencing another hospitals A&E I would only attend this hospital over any other.

Well done!!!

Thank you for your kind words following your visit to the A&E here at Wigan and the subsequent care received in the CCU. I will ensure that both departments are made aware of your posting to share with the staff. May I take this opportunity to extend our best wishes to your husband for a speedy recovery.

Kind regards
