"Happy Visit"

After being advised by my GP to have the coil i removed i made an appointment at Clover street because the waiting time at my GP's was too long.

I met with a doctor at the clinic and explained what was the reasoning behind my decision was and found him to be very understanding, an appointment was made to come back and have the coil removed at a later date.

Returned a few weeks later feeling extremely apprehensive as i had a coil removed once before by my own GP and the experience had left me feeling anxious and scared about this removal.

Met with the nurse who was kind and understanding of how i was feeling and she put me at ease at once.

After a few questions she informed me that the procedure couldn't go ahead because i'd had sexual intercourse within seven days of removal and because i don't want children she felt that it wasn't appropriate to remove.

The doctor who i originally had seen had completely failed to mention this to me on my first visit.

The nurse went out of her way to make sure that i didn't have to wait a few weeks again and booked me in at Balmoral Gardens the following week when she was working again.

I felt less nervous meeting her the second time around as she has made me feel comfortable on my last visit.

She understood how i was feeling and did all she could to keep me calm.

The procedure was over within minutes and nothing like the experience i had received at my own GP clinic.
