"Going downhill"

About: Regent Square Group Practice

I am becoming increasingly frustrated and disillusioned with Regent Square practice I’m afraid.

I have been attending all my life but am seriously considering changing to a different practice.

Some receptionists seem quite aloof and dismissive truth be told. I've recently had a problem with both ears - one a fungal infection and one with a wax blockage - leading to symptoms of vertigo.

After seeing a nurse and being prescribed antibacterial spray, which was for Athlete's foot and said "do not use in ears" we eventually got that resolved but the problem persisted.

I revisited and two eye-watering swabs were taken. I was asked to ring back two days later for the results, which I did but they weren't ready. When I did ring back I was told by the receptionist that the results were "fine" even though I still had a blockage in one ear. I queried this and was told that the nurse would ring back to explain the next steps further - she didn't.

Not for the first time, I was left wanting answers so rang back on Monday having practically given up on the nurse and want now to see a doctor. Having rung today at 10am I've apparently "missed the list" for my preferred doctor and so hopefully will be seen by another one soon.

Good job it's nothing too serious!
