What I liked
After being being referred by my GP I was able to ring the hospital to arrange my own appointment date to see the consultant, which was around 4 weeks later. After being seen I had to be admitted as a day case, the date was arranged there and then, and was for 3 weeks later (probably would have been sooner but this was over the Xmas period). I received leaflets on the procedures I was having detailing what would happen on the day. I couldn't fault anything...the staff were professional and friendly, and kept me informed of what would happen and when, and everything went to plan. The room I was in was pleasant, clean and comfortable. The anaesthetist, and consultant both came to see me prior to the procedure, and the consultant came to see me after the procedure to discuss the outcome. All the staff, including the receptionists, the nurses, the theatre staff and the lady who brought my sandwich (which was delicious) put me at ease. from when I arrived to when I left. A follow up appointment was arranged before I left.
What could be improved
Really can't think of anything that could have been done any better
Anything else?
Like most people I would say that hospitals are not my favourite places, but everything was done to ensure that this experience was as stress free as possible
"Excellent service provided in a timely manner"
