"Treatment for a nasty hornet sting"

About: Accrington Victoria Hospital

I visited the minor injuries unit of Accrington Victoria Hospital early on Saturday 1st September.

The unit opened on time and my details were taken calmly and efficiently by the receptionist.

Triage was conducted efficiently and professionally and, shortly afterwards, I was seen by a nursing sister.

Here again the consultation and treatment were carried out efficiently and in a professional manner.

The whole experience took only 45 minutes and I was glad that I had made the effort to attend early.

All the staff I encountered were extremely friendly while still maintaining a professional demeanour.

I would like to have named those who helped me and I cannot understand why the moderator prefers them to be anonymous.

Surely recognition encourages colleagues to strive to improve performance. Excellent treatment.
