After my sudden heart attack at work, I went to A&E at the RAH. Unfortunately I had to wait for 50 mins to been seen by triage. As I had a lot of chest pain, I again visited the desk to ask to be seen as I seemed to have been forgotten about. People with lesser injuries had came in after me and taken before me. After waiting 50 mins, my name was called. Within 2 mins the doctor said my blood pressure was so high that I was possibly having a stroke or heart attack. Only then, I felt I was getting the treatment I needed.
The care I received in Coronary care was excellent. The aftercare rehab facility was fantastic and now I'm able to go back to work.
Apart from the wait in A&E, I think I was well looked after and appreciate the hard working staff involved in my recover period, which includes the doctors, nurses, pharmacists and physiotherapy staff. Many thanks.
