"Sons radius fracture"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

My son sustained a nasty distal radius fracture. We had the air ambulance dispatched to us due to his pain levels and also being autistic.

We transferred to ED where the nursing staff, radiographers, orthopaedic reg/consultant , consultant anaesthetist were on call were incredible with him. Following having his wrist MUA’d  we went to the paediatric ward where again the nursing staff were great. All in all 5.5 hrs after getting  to ED he had been through x-ray, theatre, ward and then on way home. Thanks very much for great support/care.
