About: Park Street Surgery

The service that this surgery provides has gone from very good to very poor. You can't get appointments, there's only two doctors for six thousand patients and they seem to be incapable of recruiting the two or more that they need. After being a patient for over forty years I'm seriously ready to change to another.practise. A shame really because I like and respect the doctor but I think that the writing is on the wall for Park Street Surgery.

My name is Pauline Sweeney Practice Manager at Park Street.

I would like to apologise for your problems getting an appointment.

We do indeed have only 2 gp's and a Nurse Practitioner at the practice and whilst we have advertised since November for a new gp we have had very little interest.

We are using locums/locum agencies at present to try to keep up with the demand for appointments.

We have had our list closed since February to take off any further burden of more patients as we want the safest and highest quality for the patients registered here.

We do try our best here at Park Street and if there is anything further I can help with please do not hesitate to contact.
