I took my husband to the unit on the 7th of September with excruciating stomach pain. He was seen quickly by a nurse who did the first assessment and then left to sit in the waiting area. We waited and waited. My husband said he was going to faint because of the pain he cannot sit anymore. I went to the nurse and asked whether he can lay down somewhere. She said she would let me know. By the time I got back to my husband he was in so much pain he said he has lay flat. He got up and started walking to the nurses station, half way there he collapsed in the hall because of the pain and couldn’t get up. A staff member asked me why he was laying in the floor. I explained to her what happened. She pulled her face and walked away. When her colleagues asked her what’s going on, she replied saying he wants to lay somewhere let him lay there. I have never been treated like this anywhere where we needed medical attention. It turns out my husband has entangled
